Recycling is Bad

Recycling is bad. You heard me. It's BAD.
Now, before you start writing down my name to report to the city managers or to blast on Facebook, please do hear me out. I'm not talking about recycling your glass, paper, or plastic. That is good. I'm talking about recycling your work, your efforts, the sweat of your brow. Redoing the work you've already done because you didn't do it right the first time. Rework is one of the biggest time killers for businesses and is one of the telltale signs of a broken process. It is extremely wasteful. Identify it and eliminate it relentlessly. Figure out if there is a better way to tackle the goal up-front in a single try. Ask your employees or your team where they are having to go back and amend what they've already done before. Figure out why. And fix it! The time and money you will save will be well worth your efforts, I promise.
Keep recycling where it belongs!
